Mr.Kadur Seetharamaiah was a secular scholar, a person of profound equanimity, composure and charity at heart. He was an accountant in the British Colonial India who retired and drew a pension of 50 rupees per month for about 50 years till he passed away in 1966 at the age of 96. His liberalism, equanimity, scholarship and charity not only made him an extraordinary person but also one who was a role model to be emulated by others. As an example of his charity, he kept only 10 rupees for himself from out of his pension and spent 40 rupees for education of the needy in the last few decades of his life. Mrs. Parvathamma was married to him and was his supporting partner in his pursuits.
